Recipe for Modern Society is an editorial project that revolves around the idea of the end. I explore the hypothetical but increasingly real end of social interaction. With the merging of social media and smartphones, we’ve replaced most of our in-person presence with online time. I’ve decided to create a book that
resembles a phone and also functions like one. It includes a “scroll” feature, mimicking the way we
interact with our devices while forgetting the world around us.
